The Food Service Worker position at Aramark is a full-time role designed to support the daily operations of food preparation and kitchen management. This role works a unique schedule of four 10-hour shifts, from Wednesday through Saturday, allowing for work-life balance while maintaining high standards in all food service activities. The hourly compensation for this position ranges from $21.00 to $23.00, reflecting Aramark's commitment to fair and competitive wages. In this role, the Food Service Worker assists the manager with food and meal preparation tasks, ensuring that all food products meet quality standards in taste, appearance, and sanitation. Accurate management of cash receipts and meal records is a vital part of this job, supporting the financial and operational integrity of the kitchen. The Food Service Worker also collaborates with management to complete daily reports and monitors food storage to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. They use and maintain kitchen equipment responsibly, including proper handling of knives and cleaning tools, and participate in regular deep cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, steam tables, and cooking utensils.

Safety, cleanliness, and adherence to food handling regulations are critical within this position. The worker must maintain a clean and organized work environment, follow uniform policies, and ensure meal preparation aligns with scheduled times and departmental procedures. Additionally, the role involves physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in food preparation or a related field preferred
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work four 10-hour shifts, Wednesday through Saturday
  • Capacity to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Strong communication skills to connect with management and follow instructions

Job Qualifications

  • Food service certificate as needed
  • Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • Understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
  • Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • Adhere to the uniform policy
  • Connect with the manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
  • Supervise the food temperature requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
  • Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
  • Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, ware washing
  • Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
  • Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
  • Meet physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
  • Use uniforms and personal protective equipment as required
