The Food Service position at Baptist Health plays an essential role in delivering excellent patient and guest experiences. This role involves preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals while ensuring adherence to quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. The responsibilities extend to delivering stock supplies to patient floor kitchens, serving guests with a focus on positive customer relations, replenishing used foods and supplies, and performing sanitation duties. Additional duties include dish room tasks, collecting payments for guest trays, handling cashier transactions in the cafeteria, setting up and serving meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets, as well as decorating buffet and reception tables when assigned.
This position requires versatility as it involves multiple facets related to safety, comfort, and satisfaction of patients and guests. Employees in this role are expected to work independently, be cross-trained in various food service responsibilities, and assist in training others. The estimated pay range for this position is between $16.00 and $19.49 per hour, dependent on experience, reflecting Baptist Health's commitment to fair compensation.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma GED or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in food service
- Food safety certification required within 90 days of job entry
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Prepare assemble and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality service infection control and food safety standards
- Deliver stock supplies to the patient floor kitchens
- Serve guests maintaining positive customer guest relations
- Appropriately replenish used foods and supplies
- Complete sanitation duties
- Perform dish room duties as assigned daily
- Collect payments for guest trays and handle transactions for food sales in the cafeteria as a cashier
- Set up and serve meals for corporate retail catering Doctors Dining Room and other dining outlets
