The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is integral to ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within their food service environments. This position involves assisting managers with meal preparation, maintaining cash receipts and meal records, and supporting the completion of daily reports. It requires maintaining high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices, which are essential to providing customers with a safe and enjoyable dining experience. The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing quality food and baked goods according to planned menus, ensuring that meals are served according to scheduled times and department policies. This role involves working closely with kitchen equipment, handling food with care to meet sanitation standards, and adding garnishments to enhance customer satisfaction and visual appeal.

In addition to food preparation, the Food Service Worker coordinates major cleanings of kitchen equipment and maintains cleanliness and organization across work and storage areas. Adherence to food safety regulations, uniform policies, and proper handling of kitchen tools is critical. The role may include physical responsibilities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing, as well as the requirement to wear uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment. Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • Understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
  • Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • Adhere to the uniform policy
  • Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
  • Supervise the food temperature requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
  • Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
  • Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness to ensure a balanced and safe environment including sweeping, mopping, ware washing
  • Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
  • Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
  • Meet physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
  • Wear uniforms and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
