This Food Service Worker position at Aramark is designed for individuals who are passionate about maintaining high standards in food quality, safety, and customer service. The role is instrumental in supporting the manager with food and meal preparation while ensuring accurate maintenance of cash receipts and meal records. Daily report preparation and strict adherence to kitchen safety and sanitation standards are core aspects of this job. The individual will be responsible for executing food production with an emphasis on quality and consistency, coordinating with the manager daily to accurately prepare the planned menu, and assisting in the upkeep of kitchen cleanliness and organization. This role demands a proactive approach to food safety regulations while also managing equipment care, including proper handling of knives and other kitchen tools.
The Food Service Worker will engage in various daily responsibilities like serving food according to schedules and departmental procedures, guaranteeing that meals are prepared timely, and enhancing meal presentation to ensure customer satisfaction. The position also involves major cleaning tasks, such as sanitizing refrigerators, steam tables, and cooking equipment, maintaining garbage and kitchen floor cleanliness, and ensuring the entire food preparation environment meets established hygiene standards. Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing or walking. Additionally, there may be requirements for uniforms and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), underscoring the role’s commitment to safety.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or related field preferred
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong attention to detail
- good communication skills
- physical ability to perform duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
- willingness to adhere to uniform and safety policies
Job Qualifications
- Food service certificate as needed
- sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
- be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
Job Duties
- Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- understand what is inclusive of a meal
- ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- adhere to the uniform policy
- connect with the manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- supervise the food temperature requirements
- maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment
- maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
- comply with physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing
- wear uniforms and personal protective equipment as required
