The Food Service Worker role at Aramark involves assisting the manager with meal preparation and maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records. This position demands a high level of quality in food production, ensuring sanitation and kitchen safety are strictly adhered to. The role includes preparing various food and baked goods according to a planned menu, serving meals as per schedule and guidelines, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area. The Food Service Worker is also responsible for the timely preparation of food items and beverages, garnishing dishes to enhance customer satisfaction and presentation, and conducting major cleaning tasks on kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.

Additionally, this role requires direct coordination with the manager to understand daily menu requirements, supervision of food temperature standards, and compliance with food safety regulations concerning storage, handling, and sanitation. Physical demands of the job may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing, with the potential requirement to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE). Job Requirements

  • Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure

  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Basic understanding of food safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Food service certificate as needed

  • Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • Understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
