The Food Service Worker position at Aramark is an integral role within the company’s food service operations. This role primarily assists the manager with meal and food preparation, maintains cash receipts and meal records, and supports the completion of daily reports. The position demands consistent adherence to high standards in food production, kitchen safety, and sanitation practices to ensure the delivery of quality meals. As a Food Service Worker, employees will prepare a variety of high-quality food items and baked goods according to predefined menus, guaranteeing guest satisfaction both in flavor and presentation. The role encompasses essential kitchen duties such as the care and use of kitchen equipment, including knives, as well as organizing and cleaning storage and food preparation areas.
Food Service Workers must understand the components that make up meals, adhere to food temperature requirements, and serve meals within scheduled times following department policies and procedures. Responsibilities extend to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the work environment, including sweeping, mopping, ware washing, and ensuring sanitary garbage disposal areas. Physical demands include frequent lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods. Employees are also required to wear uniforms and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as mandated.

Job Duties
- Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- understand what is inclusive of a meal
- ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- adhere to the uniform policy
- connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- supervise the food temperature requirements
- maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment
- maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
- physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
- usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required
