We are currently seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Food Service Team Member to join the culinary team at Banner Ocotillo Medical Center. This full-time role is varied and includes responsibilities across dietary and retail café operations. The position involves supporting daily food service activities such as food preparation, patient trayline service, retail café support, and facility cleaning and sanitation. The Food Service Team Member will play an essential role in ensuring that patients, families, and hospital staff receive top-quality service and nourishment. Duties may also extend to delivering meals, nourishments, and tube feedings to patient units, assisting with catering and special events, and managing cash register transactions as needed. This role requires the ability to work efficiently under regular supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines—including proper handling of cleaning chemicals—and consistently deliver excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience in hospital food service or room service operations, although related education or additional experience is also preferred. The work schedule consists of varied shifts from Friday to Tuesday, with availability to work both morning (6:00 am to 2:30 pm) and afternoon (12:00 pm to 8:30 pm) shifts required. - Food handlers card required within 30 days of hire for Banner Staffing Services team members
- Availability to work Friday to Tuesday on both 6:00 am-2:30 pm and 12:00 pm-8:30 pm shifts

Job Duties
- Sets up work station and prepares foods and nourishments following established procedures and portion control
- Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, equipment, and kitchen areas
- Maintains par levels of foods and supplies, orders and restocks items, rotates stock and checks expiration dates
- Checks and records food and equipment temperatures and reports discrepancies
- Delivers meals, nourishments, late trays, and tube feedings to units and assists with catering and special events
- Handles cash register transactions and retail café support as needed
- Interacts with patients, families, hospital staff, and food service personnel, following sanitation standards and safety guidelines
