The full-time Food Service Worker position is based at Betsy Johnson Hospital and is a vital role within Sodexo’s healthcare food service team. This role offers an hourly wage of $15.00 and requires flexibility to work varying shifts including days, some weekends, and holidays, providing essential support in a dynamic hospital environment.
As a Food Service Worker at Sodexo, your primary responsibility will be to assist in delivering high-quality food service that enhances patient and staff satisfaction. This position involves preparing and serving a diverse array of menu items, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment, and providing friendly, welcoming customer service that contributes positively to the overall dining experience. You will be expected to support food preparation and service operations anywhere on the hospital property where food handling occurs, including setting up food stations with entrees, soups, salads, breads, condiments, and utensils. The role demands excellent teamwork, adaptability, and reliability to ensure smooth daily operations. - Must be at least 18 years of age
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- ability to follow instructions and adhere to company policies
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- willingness to work flexible hours and shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds

- previous experience in food service or hospitality is an asset but not required
