As a Food Service Worker at Aramark, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards expected in food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen safety. This position involves assisting the manager with meal preparation and supporting operational duties such as maintaining cash receipts and meal records. You will be responsible for preparing quality food items based on a planned menu, ensuring proper food storage and safety protocols are adhered to, and working collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver excellent service that meets departmental policies and schedules.

In this hands-on role, you will be involved in various kitchen activities including the use and care of equipment, timely preparation of food and beverages, garnishment for presentation, and major cleaning tasks. Maintaining cleanliness, adhering to uniform policies, and following food safety regulations are key responsibilities. You will also prepare daily reports that verify transactions and coordinate closely with management to understand the daily menu requirements.

The role is physically demanding, requiring lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to strict safety protocols are part of the job. Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • Understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
  • Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • Adhere to the uniform policy
  • Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
  • Supervise the food temperature requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
  • Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
  • Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, including sweeping, moping, and ware washing
  • Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
  • Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
  • Comply with physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
  • Use personal protective equipment as required
