The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is a critical position responsible for maintaining high standards in food preparation, service, sanitation, and safety within the kitchen and dining environments. This role involves assisting the manager with food and meal preparation, maintaining cash receipts and meal records, and helping complete daily reports. Food Service Workers ensure that all food items are prepared timely using accurate portion control and are stored in sanitary conditions. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service preferred
- ability to follow food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- strong customer service skills
- physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- willingness to wear uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required

- Food Service Certificate as needed
- sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
- be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
Job Duties
- Assist the manager with food and meal preparation
- maintain cash receipts and meal records
- assist manager in completing daily reports
- maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices
- lead all aspects of and assist in preparation of beverage items for the day and dating products
- ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- serve food according to meal schedules, department policies, and procedures
- use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- coordinate and assist in setting up and breaking down station designated by the manager
- responsible for use of accurate portions when preparing and serving items on the line
- maintain daily temperature logs
- take samples of all food items on the line prior to serving customers
- alert management and pull food items that do not meet quality expectations
- complete opening and closing station checklists
- ask customers about the quality of their service and handle any complaints while maintaining a positive attitude
- coordinate and assist in maintaining a clean workstation
- ensure all work areas and serving utensils are cleaned and sanitized
- responsible for accurate disposal of waste from the service line
- transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- assist with daily safety observations and report safety hazards
- cross-train in areas as needed
- work in concessions, catering, and special events as required
- perform tasks as requested by manager or Aramark supervisors
