The health system employs over 14,000 colleagues, including more than 2,850 highly skilled and compassionate doctors, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and innovative treatment methods, Virtua Health is recognized nationally for its quality and safety, including Magnet recognition for nursing excellence and numerous awards for outstanding work environment and patient care. The institution partners with prominent organizations such as Penn Medicine and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, enhancing its capabilities in cancer care, neurosciences, and pediatrics.

The role available at Virtua Health's Burlington Hospital location is that of a Food Service Worker, a part-time position offering approximately 16 hours per week during the 1st shift. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the hospital's food service department, where the candidate will perform a variety of food preparation and production tasks alongside cleaning duties. The Food Service Worker is pivotal in delivering high-quality customer service, ensuring that every patient, visitor, and staff member receives an excellent dining experience. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, preparing, and serving food products, maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation standards, handling kitchen equipment safely, and managing cash transactions accurately.

Candidates for this role should be able to speak English effectively and ideally have previous food service experience, although it is not a mandatory requirement. The pay range for this position is competitive, ranging from $18.00 to $21.33 per hour, with the exact rate contingent on experience and market factors. Virtua Health offers a comprehensive benefits package to both full-time and part-time employees, featuring medical, dental, and vision insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans, paid time off including sick leave, disability insurance options, life insurance, tuition assistance, and access to an employee assistance program providing free counseling sessions. This benefits package underscores Virtua's dedication to supporting the health and well-being of its workforce as well as the community it serves.

This opportunity at Virtua Health is ideal for individuals interested in contributing to a dynamic healthcare environment, committed to excellence in patient and customer service, and eager to work within a supportive and award-winning organization. Those who join Virtua Health in this capacity play a vital role in fostering a healthy, caring atmosphere that aligns with the organization's mission to better serve its community in all moments that matter.
