The role of Food Service Worker at Morrison Healthcare is a part-time position based at Baptist North Little Rock, located at 333 Springhill Drive in North Little Rock, Arkansas. This position offers a fixed pay rate of $16.00 per hour. The part-time schedule generally runs Monday through Friday with varying hours and includes some weekend shifts. Candidates will learn about specific schedules during the interview process. As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving food while ensuring compliance with all safety and sanitation standards. Duties include washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables; weighing and measuring ingredients; carrying food items safely between stations; storing food properly with attention to food safety protocols; cleaning work areas and utensils; distributing supplies; and serving customers efficiently and courteously.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule including some weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry pans, trays and kitchen equipment safely
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols consistently
  • Must be able to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties

  • Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables
  • Weighs and measures designated ingredients
  • Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards
  • Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures
  • Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils
  • Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment
  • Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service
  • Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor
  • Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
  • Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned
