The role available at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital is a vital kitchen position that contributes directly to the hospital’s daily operations and patient care environment. This position involves performing general kitchen duties including food preparation and storage, cleaning and storing dishes, utensils, and pots, as well as maintaining overall department sanitation. Employees in this role follow clearly defined department policies and recipes to prepare and serve meals and snacks accurately to patients and visitors, ensuring nutritional needs and safety standards are met.
This role supports multiple areas within the food service department including the tray line, cafeteria, dish room, host/hostess duties, and catering services. Success in this position requires effective communication skills, competence in job responsibilities, and the ability to work cooperatively with peers and supervisors. Adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal hospital policies, is essential for ensuring patient privacy and safety while delivering optimal care.
This is a per diem/casual, non-exempt position with varied shifts and hours, including weekend work as needed. The position offers an hourly pay range of $24.28 to $29.13, which may vary depending on geographic location, experience, and other factors.
