The Food Service Worker position is located at Holy Cross Hospital under Sodexo's team, providing essential food preparation and service to hospital staff and patients. This role is a part-time position with a rotating morning shift schedule, including variable days and rotating weekends, offering hourly pay ranging from $15.40 to $16.60. As a Food Service Worker at Sodexo, you will play an important role in promoting a welcoming environment through your customer service and teamwork.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving diverse and vibrant menu options while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in food service areas. You will assist in setting up food stations, stocking supplies, and serving food from counters and steam tables. Maintaining a hygienic workspace and timely attendance are critical to success in this role. While previous experience is not required, strong teamwork skills, adaptability, reliability, and a commitment to safety and a healthy work environment are essential traits for candidates.

Job Duties

  • may work anywhere on property where food is prepared or served
  • assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steam tables
  • set up stations with entrees, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils and provide general stocking duties in service area
  • clean and sanitize equipment and work stations
  • attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
