Job Requirements

  • Complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • meet the experience requirements in food serving and preparation
  • be physically capable of the demands of the job including lifting up to 45 pounds
  • continuously stand and walk for extended periods
  • frequently stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend
  • obtain a Food Handler's certificate
  • have experience operating a cash register
  • meet legal age requirements for serving alcohol
  • satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical examination
  • be a U.S. citizen or non-U.S. national meeting residency requirements
  • male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must be registered for Selective Service
  • agree to direct deposit
  • pass an E-Verify check
  • meet all qualification, eligibility, and background requirements
  • be able to provide REAL ID or authorized identity documentation to access installation
  • understand that payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized
  • accept that probationary period may be required

Job Qualifications

  • Have experience or training in food serving and preparation
  • be physically able to lift objects weighing up to 45 pounds or occasionally heavier
  • be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long periods of time
  • be able to obtain a Food Handler's certificate
  • have cash register experience
  • meet the appropriate age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages
  • satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical examination
  • open to everyone including Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse, Widow, Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference

Job Duties

  • Wash, peel, and slice vegetables and other food items
  • slice cooked meats and prepare a variety of sandwiches such as barbecue, steamed hot dogs, cold salads
  • wrap, arrange, and package sandwiches for carry out
  • follow various recipes
  • serve carbonated and other soft drinks, beer, milk, and other beverages
  • make coffee
  • take orders and serve food items
  • dispense candy, potato chips, and other snack items
  • refill beverage and ice dispensers as required
  • wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and bins
  • clear tables, scrub floors, clean hood over grill, and carry out trash bags
  • receive payment for food items, ring cash register, and sign for change fund
  • perform other related duties as assigned
