- ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Job Duties
- Assist with the preparation of assigned menus ensuring meals are attractive nutritious and USDA-approved
- support the delivery of meals to classrooms and the collection of dirty dishes following meal service
- clean dishes utensils and kitchen equipment using approved sanitary washing procedures
- receive and inspect food deliveries for accuracy quality and compliance with safety standards
- properly store food and supplies including dating all items and following FIFO inventory practices
- monitor and maintain proper food temperatures during preparation storage and service
- ensure refrigerators and freezers are maintained at appropriate temperatures
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen materials equipment and workspaces in accordance with Health Department regulations
