The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is integral to delivering high-quality food and exceptional service to customers. This position involves assisting the food service manager with the preparation and serving of meals, maintaining accurate records of cash receipts and meal transactions, and ensuring sanitation and kitchen safety standards are rigorously upheld. The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing various food items and baked goods according to planned menus, managing food storage with cleanliness and hygiene, and serving food on schedule in accordance with departmental policies. This job requires attention to detail to ensure meals meet quality and presentation standards, including garnishments that enhance customer satisfaction and the visual appeal of dishes.

In addition to food preparation and service, the Food Service Worker plays a vital role in maintaining the kitchen environment. This includes coordinating thorough cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and equipment; adhering to all food safety regulations related to handling and storage; and maintaining a clean, organized work area. The position also involves daily collaboration with the manager to accurately prepare the menu and supervise food temperature requirements, ensuring safety and quality are never compromised. Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Personal protective equipment and uniforms are required for safety and professionalism. Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • Understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
  • Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • Adhere to the uniform policy
  • Connect with the manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
  • Supervise the food temperature requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
  • Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
  • Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, duties include sweeping, moping, ware washing
  • Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
  • Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
  • Meet physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
  • Use personal protective equipment as required
