Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • proficiency in basic food production and food service knowledge
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions in English
  • basic math skills for measurement and recipe adjustments
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • adherence to privacy and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • basic food production and food service knowledge
  • ability to use various food service supplies and equipment
  • knowledge of safe food environment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • ability to read, write, and speak English
  • sufficient mathematical ability for measurement and portioning
  • ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • strong customer service skills
  • understanding of patient protected health information (PHI) privacy

Job Duties

  • perform general kitchen duties including food preparation and storage
  • clean and store dishes, utensils, and pots
  • perform general department sanitation
  • follow department policies and recipes to prepare and serve snacks and meals
  • assist in tray line, cafeteria, dish room, host/hostess, or catering areas
  • communicate effectively with peers and supervisors
  • adhere to local, state, and federal regulations for privacy and safety
