Job Requirements
- high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- proficiency in basic food production and food service knowledge
- ability to follow written and oral instructions in English
- basic math skills for measurement and recipe adjustments
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions
- strong communication and customer service skills
- adherence to privacy and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- basic food production and food service knowledge
- ability to use various food service supplies and equipment
- knowledge of safe food environment maintenance and cleaning procedures
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- sufficient mathematical ability for measurement and portioning
- ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- strong customer service skills
- understanding of patient protected health information (PHI) privacy
Job Duties
- perform general kitchen duties including food preparation and storage
- clean and store dishes, utensils, and pots
- perform general department sanitation
- follow department policies and recipes to prepare and serve snacks and meals
- assist in tray line, cafeteria, dish room, host/hostess, or catering areas
- communicate effectively with peers and supervisors
- adhere to local, state, and federal regulations for privacy and safety
