The Food Service Worker role at El Dorado Correctional is a key position within Aramark’s operations, specifically geared toward overseeing and coordinating food service activities in a correctional facility environment. In this capacity, the Food Service Worker supervises inmates involved in meal preparation to ensure compliance with established production plans and food safety standards. This role involves training inmates on cooking procedures, assigning duties, monitoring sanitation protocols, and maintaining a secure workplace. The Food Service Worker plays an essential role in the timely and efficient service of meals while adhering to all Aramark and correctional facility security policies. Beyond supervisory responsibilities, the role requires participation in meal preparation, inventory control, and ensuring food handling aligns with HACCP standards. The work environment demands physical activity such as lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing or walking, and adherence to safety guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary.

This position not only requires strong leadership and communication skills but also the ability to maintain composure and exercise good judgment in a unique and regulated environment. The Food Service Worker must be capable of working independently, follow safety and security protocols rigorously, and maintain the highest standards of food safety, including obtaining necessary certifications. Overall, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to the mission of providing quality food service within a structured correctional setting while also being a part of Aramark’s larger commitment to service excellence and community support.
