- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to planned menus, recipes, and work instructions in a timely manner
- Clean as you go and maintain a neat and food safe workstation
- Pull trash, sweep, mop, and perform other cleaning duties within the facility
- Serve food during planned meal schedules according to department policies and procedures
- Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook, prepare, and serve food meeting clients' nutritional needs
- Abide by all food safety regulations including sanitation, food handling, and storage
- Maintain cleanliness of work area including refrigerators/freezers, cooking and serving equipment
- Operate in a fast-paced environment performing routine kitchen tasks while staying organized and clean
- Manage garbage collection and keep kitchen floors free from excess food and trash
- Meet physical demands like lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, standing for extended periods
- Perform other related duties as assigned
