Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Availability to work some weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand and be on feet for most of the shift
- Physical ability to lift, bend, kneel, push and walk for extended periods
- Prior experience in institutional food service or restaurant preferred
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and team members during food preparation and service shifts
- Prepare and instruct on food preparation according to menus and recipes
- Ensure proper and sanitary storage of all food items
- Serve food according to planned meal schedules and policies
- Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment safely to cook and serve food
- Follow all food safety regulations related to sanitation, handling, and storage
- Train and mentor other food service workers
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas including refrigerators, cooking equipment, and serving utensils
- Adhere to facility uniform policies
- Manage garbage collection and kitchen floor cleanliness
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
