Job Requirements
- Must be over 21 years old
- Must pass a background check in accordance with facility procedures and applicable law
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to food service including standing for long periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts including early morning hours
- Commitment to safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior food service experience is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and service knowledge
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment
- Willingness to work early shifts and onsite in a correctional facility
Job Duties
- Preparing food for inmates according to established guidelines
- Serving and distributing meals in a timely manner
- Operating in various kitchen areas including tray line, dish room, cafeteria, and storeroom
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in all work areas
- Assisting in inventory control and stock management
- Interacting respectfully with diverse clientele including inmates and staff
- Following all facility regulations and safety protocols
