Job Requirements

  • Must be over 21 years old
  • Must pass a background check in accordance with facility procedures and applicable law
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to food service including standing for long periods
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including early morning hours
  • Commitment to safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior food service experience is an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and service knowledge
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment
  • Willingness to work early shifts and onsite in a correctional facility

Job Duties

  • Preparing food for inmates according to established guidelines
  • Serving and distributing meals in a timely manner
  • Operating in various kitchen areas including tray line, dish room, cafeteria, and storeroom
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in all work areas
  • Assisting in inventory control and stock management
  • Interacting respectfully with diverse clientele including inmates and staff
  • Following all facility regulations and safety protocols
