At the Hazelden Center for Youth and Families, Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Service Worker to join their team on an on-call part-time basis. This position offers varying shifts, including days, hours, and rotating weekends, with the hourly pay ranging from $17.00 to $18.00. The role is pivotal in preparing and serving nutritious and vibrant menus, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and contributing to a positive dining experience for all patrons. As a Food Service Worker, you will be the friendly face that helps create a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that food service areas are well stocked, orderly, and compliant with safety standards.

The job involves a variety of hands-on tasks such as setting up serving stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, and utensils, assisting in food preparation, and cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and workstations. Reliability and punctuality are essential as you will be expected to attend scheduled shifts regularly and contribute to team efforts in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work on-call part-time with varying shifts
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • Must be able to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Reliable transportation to work location
  • Willingness to undergo background check and any required training
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of vibrant menus
  • Assist in setup and serving of food from counters and steamtables
  • Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, utensils and provide general stocking duties
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and work stations
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Maintain a welcoming customer service attitude to create a positive dining experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
