The organization is widely recognized for its internationally renowned centers of excellence in areas such as cancer care, cardiovascular care, orthopedics and sports medicine, and neurosciences. Supported by philanthropy and driven by a faith-based mission of medical excellence, Baptist Health has been consistently celebrated for its outstanding workplace culture, having been named one of Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For for 25 years in a row. Additionally, in the 2024-2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital Rankings, Baptist Health earned the distinction of being the most awarded healthcare system in South Florida, receiving 45 high-performing honors.

What truly distinguishes Baptist Health is its people. The organization prides itself on cultivating personal connections that transcend the workplace, building meaningful relationships with patients and their families. Many team members have personally experienced the healthcare journey, fostering deep empathy and reinforcing their commitment to compassion and top-quality care. The culture at Baptist Health is rooted in purpose where every individual contributes to making a positive impact on the lives they touch. The collective dedication to caring for people exemplifies the organization's philosophy: when it comes to patient care, everyone is all in.

The role available at Baptist Health involves preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals in compliance with stringent quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. This position requires attention to detail and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards in food service and sanitation. The employee will also deliver stock supplies to patient floor kitchens and serve guests while maintaining positive customer and guest relations. Additional duties include replenishing used foods and supplies, completing sanitation tasks, performing dish room operations, collecting payments for guest trays, and managing food sales transactions as a cafeteria cashier.

Furthermore, this position supports corporate retail, catering, the Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets by setting up and serving meals, enhancing the environment by decorating buffet and reception tables as assigned. The role supports efficient food preparation and service by collaborating closely with coworkers and often supports training efforts for new team members. This multi-faceted role is crucial to ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of patients and guests, requiring the individual to perform tasks independently and cross-train in various food service responsibilities. The position is ideal for a service-oriented individual who thrives in a healthcare environment and is committed to making a difference through exceptional food service and customer care.
