The Barista will operate primarily on day shifts, engaging directly with customers in preparing and serving espresso beverages and food items. Beyond the preparation and service, this role involves maintaining cleanliness of the work area and equipment, ensuring a hygienic environment in line with health standards. Responsibilities include handling cash payments, operating espresso machines and kitchen equipment, inventory management, and performing other related duties as assigned. The hourly pay range for this role is between $21.70 and $24.97, reflecting the specialization and care required in this position. Job Requirements
- Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment
- One year of experience preparing and serving food and beverage
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration
Job Qualifications
- One year of experience preparing and serving food and beverage
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment
- Knowledge of coffee and espresso beverage preparation
- Ability to operate cooking and kitchen equipment
