The role available involves preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals while adhering to stringent quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. This position plays a crucial supporting role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction through timely and accurate nourishment delivery. Responsibilities include delivering stock supplies to patient floor kitchens, replenishing used foods, maintaining sanitation duties, performing dish room tasks, and handling payments for guest trays. Additionally, the role extends to supporting meal service for various dining outlets, including corporate retail, catering, and the Doctors Dining Room, as well as decorating buffets and reception tables as assigned.
This hourly role offers an estimated wage range of $16.00 to $18.38, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, certificate of attendance, certificate of completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience required
- Food safety certification required within 90 days of job entry
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Less than 1 year of experience

Job Duties
- Prepare, assemble and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control and food safety standards
- Deliver stock supplies to patient floor kitchens
- Serve guests, maintaining positive customer/guest relations
- Appropriately replenish used foods and supplies
- Complete sanitation duties
- Perform dish room duties as assigned, daily
- Collect payments for guest trays
- Handle transactions for food sales in the cafeteria as a cashier in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Set up and serve meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets
- Decorate buffet and reception tables as assigned
