The current opportunity is for a Food Service Worker role at Baptist Health. This position plays a crucial part in the patient care experience, focusing on preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals that comply with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. The Food Service Worker supports the overall satisfaction and comfort of patients by ensuring timely and accurate meal service while maintaining positive relationships with patients and guests. Responsibilities also include delivering supplies to patient floor kitchens, replenishing used foods and supplies, handling sanitation duties and dish room tasks, serving meals in various dining outlets such as corporate retail, catering, and the Doctors Dining Room, and processing payments as needed. This is an hourly position with an estimated pay range of $16.00 to $18.38 depending on experience. Job Duties
- Prepare, assemble and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards
- Deliver stock supplies to the patient floor kitchens
- Serve guests maintaining positive customer/guest relations
- Appropriately replenish used foods and supplies
- Complete sanitation duties
- Perform dish room duties as assigned daily
- Collect payments for guest trays
- Handle transactions for food sales in the Cafeteria as a cashier in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Set up and serve meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets
- Decorate buffet and reception tables as assigned
