Baptist Health stands as the largest not-for-profit healthcare organization in the region, proudly serving the communities of Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. With a robust network comprising 12 hospitals, over 29,000 dedicated employees, 4,500 physicians, and 200 outpatient centers, urgent care facilities, and physician practices, Baptist Health has firmly established itself as a leader in compassionate medical care and innovative health services. The organization is renowned for its internationally recognized centers of excellence, which specialize in cancer treatment, cardiovascular care, orthopedics and sports medicine, and neurosciences. These centers are supported by a strong philanthropic foundation and are driven by a faith-based mission emphasizing medical excellence and holistic patient care. Baptist Health has repeatedly been honored as one of Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For over the past 26 years and was the most awarded healthcare system in South Florida in the 2025-2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital Rankings, earning 63 high-performing honors.

What truly distinguishes Baptist Health is its people-centered culture. The organization fosters personal connections among colleagues, extending beyond the professional realm, and these meaningful relationships are also reflected in the compassionate care provided to patients and their families. Many team members share personal experiences that deepen their commitment to providing quality, empathetic care. The organization’s culture is deeply rooted in purpose, and every employee plays a vital role in making a positive impact within the community. This environment motivates staff to genuinely invest in their work and the wellbeing of those they serve.

The role at Baptist Health centers around serving as a vital participant in the hospital's food service operations. This position involves preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals while adhering strictly to quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards to ensure an excellent dining experience for patients. The individual will also be responsible for replenishing supplies in patient floor kitchens, maintaining positive customer and guest interactions, and supporting sanitation and dish room duties as necessary. Additional responsibilities include handling food sales transactions in the cafeteria, setting up and serving meals in various dining environments including corporate retail, catering, and the Doctors Dining Room, and decorating buffet and reception tables. This role is multi-faceted, directly contributing to the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of patients and guests. It requires the ability to perform independently and be cross-trained in diverse food service functions, with an opportunity to mentor and support the training of others. The estimated pay range for this role is $16.00 to $19.49 per hour, based on experience.

Baptist Health is deeply committed to the professional and personal growth of its employees. Reflecting a "grow our own" philosophy, the organization provides clear pathways for career advancement supported by comprehensive benefits. Employees have access to abundant health and wellness resources that extend beyond traditional offerings, including a wellness program aimed at reducing medical plan deductibles to lower out-of-pocket healthcare costs. Additionally, tuition reimbursement programs encourage continued learning and professional development.
