The role of the Food Service Team Member at TXB is pivotal to the success of the store’s operations and overall customer satisfaction. Working under the guidance of the store management team, the Food Service Team Member carries out a variety of essential tasks that contribute to the smooth running of the store. This includes food preparation, customer service, cash register duties as needed, general housekeeping, and other related functions within the store. The team member is expected to embrace Texas Born’s core values and exhibit a strong work ethic characterized by reliability, punctuality, honesty, and a positive attitude.

This position demands excellent customer service skills and good verbal communication to ensure every guest receives a warm welcome and outstanding service. The Food Service Team Member will be knowledgeable about the company’s products, menu items, and policies, enabling them to provide detailed information and suggestions to customers. A key responsibility is maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures in line with local, state, and federal regulations. The role also involves operating cooking and food preparation equipment such as grills, broilers, and deep-fat fryers to prepare menu items like tacos, chicken, and sides according to customer specifications.

Additional duties include replenishing supplies, cleaning kitchen utensils and stations, and supporting team efforts to meet company and departmental goals. This role requires the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the execution of marketing programs and inventory management. Candidates may need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis, and must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for prolonged periods, and enduring kitchen temperatures that may be hot or cold. Training is provided on the job, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals new to the food service industry or seeking a team-oriented work setting.
