The role of Food Service Supervisor at Shannon Health is a full-time position based within the Food Service department. This role demands a hands-on leadership approach to coordinate and lead daily operations across all three campus locations, ensuring consistent production quality and adherence to strict food code compliance. The supervisor will oversee food preparation and presentation, manage sanitation protocols, and ensure health standards are uniformly maintained to meet hospital policies. The position carries the vital responsibility of ensuring that all food handling processes meet stringent safety codes to protect the well-being of hospital patients and staff. This leadership role also includes supervising staff performance, assisting with training new team members, and fostering a quality-driven service culture. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking while maintaining clear communication with hospital management and team members.
In addition, this role requires certification as a Food Safety Manager which must be obtained within 90 days from the start date if not already held. The supervisor will play an integral part in maintaining departmental compliance through continuous monitoring and improvement of safety, sanitation, and operational protocols. This position reports directly within the Food Service leadership and requires collaborative coordination with other hospital departments to ensure seamless food service operations. - Two or more years of experience in food service preferred
- One or more years of experience in teaching or training new hires in multiple areas preferred
