Established with a commitment to providing outstanding value, convenient shopping experiences, and a welcoming environment, Target has become one of the country's most respected retail brands. The company prides itself on its mission to help all families discover the joy of everyday life, reflected in its inclusive culture, corporate values, and dedication to community involvement. Target invests heavily in its team members, offering competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and numerous opportunities for professional growth and development.

The Food Service Team Leader position at Target plays a crucial role within the Food & Beverage team by ensuring that food products and services consistently meet high standards of freshness, quality, and availability. This role involves managing inventory accuracy, food safety protocols, pricing strategies, promotional signage, and overall operational efficiencies within the food service departments, including specialty brands like Starbucks and Pizza Hut where applicable. As a team leader, the individual will develop leadership skills by guiding a group of hourly team members through daily task planning, coaching, evaluating, and retaining talent. The role also requires close collaboration with district managers and operational teams to align department goals with broader store objectives.

Typical daily responsibilities include leading workload planning to meet sales goals, assigning tasks based on guest traffic and business priorities, maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards, and ensuring compliance with both company policies and brand-specific regulations. This position demands a proactive approach to production quantity decisions to maximize freshness and profitability while minimizing waste. The Food Service Team Leader also plays an integral role in the talent acquisition process by participating in hiring and onboarding efforts and fostering an inclusive, safe, and ethical work environment. Beyond team management, the role supports merchandise protection, store emergency response, guest service interactions, and compliance with applicable laws and safety regulations.

This opportunity offers a starting pay range of $20.50 to $22.50 per hour, with a full pay range extending to $34.85 per hour based on factors such as experience, education, certifications, and labor market conditions. Additionally, Target offers eligible team members comprehensive health and wellness benefits including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, and more. Other benefits include a 401(k) plan, employee discounts, paid sick leave, paid national holidays, short and long-term disability plans, and paid vacation time. Target emphasizes a healthy work-life balance and a supportive environment designed to enable team members to thrive personally and professionally. With its robust training programs, flexible work schedules, and values-driven culture, this role is ideal for candidates seeking a meaningful career in the fast-paced food service and retail industry.
