Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs
- previous experience in hospital or long-term care preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in english
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- teamwork and interpersonal skills
- ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- availability to work flexible hours
Job Qualifications
- must be able to unload and stock groceries and lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to read, write, and understand english and perform simple math calculations
- attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- ability to supervise and instruct others
- previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred
- demonstrates cooperation and teamwork
- ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward residents and support networks
- professional communication skills with residents, staff, and family members
Job Duties
- assist in preparation of meals and snacks
- clean dining areas and kitchen equipment
- receive, rotate, and store food supplies properly
- serve residents and respond to their requests
- comply with infection control, safety, and sanitation standards
- supervise dietary department personnel as required
- assist with production planning and inventory management
