The Dietary Aide position specifically involves assisting in meal preparation and serving, as well as maintaining cleanliness and safety in dining and kitchen areas. The Dietary Aide plays an active role in receiving and storing food and supplies, ensuring compliance with infection control, safety, and sanitation standards. In addition to daily interaction with residents, this role requires vigilance in food safety, proper handling of kitchen equipment, and prompt reporting of any sanitation issues.
The Cook Supervisor role entails overseeing the work of dietary staff and ensuring adherence to established policies. Responsibilities include meal preparation in accordance with residents’ dietary needs, assisting with production planning, and managing inventory. The Cook Supervisor collaborates closely with the Dietary Manager to meet resident needs, maintain budget guidelines, and contribute to special event planning. Critical skills include operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, and responding to residents’ requests swiftly and professionally.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs
- previous experience in hospital or long-term care preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in english
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- teamwork and interpersonal skills

- availability to work flexible hours
