The company's comprehensive approach integrates innovative food services with sustainable practices and community engagement, making it a highly respected employer in the food service industry and beyond.
The role of a Food Service Supervisor at Aramark is a dynamic and pivotal position within the food services team, designed for individuals ready to lead, manage, and inspire. As a full-time Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily food service operations alongside a manager, ensuring smooth coordination and leadership. Your duties will include producing and maintaining work schedules, preparing production packets like production sheets and recipes, and directing daily activities. You will maintain food production standards that comply with safety and quality policies, ensuring all food items are stored, handled, and served in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment.
Beyond food preparation and safety, the supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining a sanitary department compliant with health and safety regulations. You will manage weekly inventory accuracy, prepare orders as required, and supervise employees by conducting evaluations, counseling, and fostering growth, morale, efficiency, and teamwork. Your leadership will extend to training and mentoring food service workers, maintaining equipment maintenance logs, completing food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions, and performing preventative maintenance checks. Monitoring and recommending equipment replacements to meet facility needs fall under your responsibilities as well.
Importantly, you will be required to multitask with proficiency, fill in for absent employees when necessary, and maintain knowledge of daily catering events, ensuring timely preparation and delivery, sometimes including evenings and weekends. Participation in food service meetings and effective communication with staff across various channels will be crucial, along with occasional cashier duties and promoting good public relations. The position demands strong organizational skills, emotional control under stress, basic arithmetic ability, conflict resolution skills, and a commitment to completing necessary sanitation training. At Aramark, the Food Service Supervisor not only manages food service operations but also contributes significantly to continuous improvement, team development, and client satisfaction. This role offers a meaningful career step for those passionate about food service leadership and professional advancement within a globally respected company.
