Aramark is currently seeking a full-time Food Service Supervisor to join its passionate Food Services Team. The Food Service Supervisor works closely with a manager to coordinate daily operations, oversee staff, maintain food safety and quality standards, and contribute to the overall success of the food service department. As a Food Service Supervisor at Aramark, you will be responsible for producing work schedules, preparing production packets, directing daily activities, and ensuring that food items are stored and served safely and according to menu specifications. Maintaining sanitation standards in compliance with health codes and conducting accurate inventory counts weekly are key parts of the role. Supervising and evaluating employees, providing training, and promoting teamwork and morale are essential to building a high-performing team. You will also be tasked with monitoring maintenance logs, completing food safety and temperature records with corrective actions, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment. In addition, the role may require filling in for absent employees, supporting catering events including some night and weekend shifts, and participating in food service meetings.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Must complete a sanitation course before or during first year
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends
  • Ability to train and mentor staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production that ensures safety and quality according to policies, procedures, and department requirements
  • Ensure safe, organized, and hazard-free food storage
  • Maintain serving schedules to ensure food is served per menu specifications
  • Maintain sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • Prepare orders as needed for accurate production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees, counsel, promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • Train and mentor other food service workers
  • Maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • Ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
