Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day in 15 countries around the world. Founded on a mission rooted in service and united by purpose, Aramark is committed to doing great things for its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. The company believes in equal employment opportunity and fosters an inclusive environment free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Aramark emphasizes talent development, passion fueling, and professional growth for all its employees. This dedication positions Aramark not only as a food service company but as a career-building platform where individuals can discover new challenges, a true sense of belonging, and a supportive environment to reach their full potential.
Aramark is currently hiring full-time Food Service Supervisors to join their passionate Food Services Team. This role is designed for individuals ready to step up their careers, lead operations, and inspire others in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Reporting alongside a manager who coordinates and leads overall operations, the Food Service Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing daily activities, ensuring food safety and quality, maintaining work schedules, and supporting staff growth and morale.
In this role, the Food Service Supervisor will produce and maintain work schedules, prepare production packets including production sheets and recipes, and ensure the smooth direction of daily activities. They will ensure food production meets safety standards and quality according to company policies and departmental requirements. A critical aspect of this job is maintaining safe, organized, and hazard-free storage for all food items, ensuring that all servings comply with menu specifications and follow Aramark's strict safety guidelines.
The supervisor will uphold a sanitary environment compliant with health and safety codes, maintain accurate weekly inventory records, and prepare orders to ensure precise production and supply chain efficiency. Supervising and evaluating employees is a significant responsibility, requiring the ability to counsel, promote employee growth, boost efficiency, morale, and foster a strong sense of teamwork.
In addition to staff management, the Food Service Supervisor will handle maintenance logs for equipment, ensure food safety and temperature logs are properly completed with corrective actions when necessary, and perform preventative maintenance checklists. They will recommend equipment replacements as needed to meet the evolving needs of the facility and demonstrate proficiency in multitasking to manage a busy and demanding food service environment.
This role also demands flexibility, as the supervisor may be required to fill in for absent employees and work occasional night and weekend catered events. Effective communication with all staff, including office personnel through emails, phone calls, and inter-office mail, is paramount. Participation in food service meetings and promoting good public relations are also integral parts of the role. Additionally, performing cashier duties when necessary and being knowledgeable of daily catering events to confirm preparation and timely delivery fall under the supervisor's responsibilities.
As part of Aramark's team, this role promises a career full of opportunities for skill development, teamwork, and meaningful impact. It is an excellent chance for those who aspire to grow within the food service industry while upholding the highest standards of service, safety, and customer satisfaction.
