The Food Service Supervisor role is a full-time position within Aramark's passionate Food Services Team. This role involves working closely with a manager to coordinate and lead daily food service operations, overseeing staff, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and contributing actively to a positive team environment. Food Service Supervisors are entrusted with a variety of responsibilities such as producing work schedules, maintaining food production in compliance with health standards, supervising employees, managing inventory, and ensuring the efficient operation of the department. The position requires a hands-on leader who can multitask proficiently and respond flexibly to the dynamic needs of the food service environment. Additionally, the role includes duties like training staff, maintaining equipment, handling catering event preparations, and stepping in to fulfill cashier or other roles as needed. Occasional night and weekend work may be required to support catered events.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service or supervisory roles preferred
- Completion or willingness to complete sanitation course within the first year
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage staff effectively
- Commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- Completion or commitment to complete a sanitation course
- Knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts

Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
- Direct daily activities
- Maintain food production to ensure safety and quality according to policies and procedures
- Ensure food items are stored safely and organized
- Maintain serving schedules and ensure food items are served according to menu specifications
- Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes
- Maintain accurate weekly inventory
- Prepare orders to ensure accurate production
- Supervise and evaluate employees, promote growth and teamwork
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Train and mentor food service workers
- Maintain equipment maintenance logs
- Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
- Perform preventative maintenance checklist
- Recommend equipment replacement as needed
- Multitask proficiently
- Perform additional duties as directed by Food Service Director or Manager
- Fill in for absent employees
- Oversee catering events preparation and delivery
- Work occasional night and weekend events
- Attend food service meetings
- Maintain communication with staff
- Perform cashier duties as necessary
- Promote good public relations
