Reporting alongside a manager, the Food Service Supervisor supervises and collaborates with staff to ensure smooth operations focused on delivering quality food service. The supervisor is responsible for food production oversight, maintaining safety and quality standards, scheduling work shifts, preparing production materials such as production sheets and recipes, and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
In addition to daily operational responsibilities, the supervisor leads and mentors staff to promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork. They ensure that food items are stored safely and prepared according to menu specifications, maintaining sanitary conditions and an organized environment. Inventory management, equipment maintenance, corrective food safety actions, and ensuring timely delivery of catering events are critical components of the role. The position demands excellent multitasking abilities, emotional control under stress, and strong organizational skills. Occasional work during nights or weekends for catered events may be required.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or supervision preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- completion of sanitation training
- strong communication skills
- capability to supervise and mentor staff
- understanding of health and safety regulations

- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
- knowledge in operating efficient cost-effective programs

Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
- direct daily activities

- supervise and evaluate employees
