Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules
- Direct daily activities
- Maintain food production safety and quality
- Ensure safe and organized food storage
- Maintain serving schedules and food service according to menu specifications
- Maintain sanitary department following health and safety codes
- Maintain accurate weekly inventory
- Prepare orders as needed
- Supervise and evaluate employees
- Counsel and promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
- Train and mentor food service workers
- Maintain maintenance logs for equipment
- Ensure food safety and temperature logs are completed with corrective action
- Perform preventative maintenance checklist
- Recommend equipment replacement
- Multi-task proficiently
- Perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
- Fill in for absent employees as needed
- Maintain knowledge of catering events and confirm preparation and delivery
- Work occasional night and weekend catered events
- Attend food service meetings with staff
