This part-time, onsite Food Service Supervisor FOH position is located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, within the Dining & Events segment at the Como Zoo, managed by Lancer Hospitality. The role is pivotal in overseeing meal production and service, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring excellent customer experiences. Job Duties

  • Oversee the department entirely including all hourly team members and resolve difficult customer situation
  • Assist in training of new team members to build and sustain a high-performance team, utilizing learning checklists and training materials
  • Maintain responsibility for cash handling procedures
  • Process transactions in a quick and efficient manner
  • Greet customers in warm and friendly manner, answer any questions customers may have regarding their purchases
  • Determine customer's needs and prepare their selection
  • Make suggestions to up-sell product to the customer which is appropriate for their selection
  • Oversee and help maintain display cases and condiment stations with proper stocking levels
  • Check proper temperature of food in the display cases to maintain health department standards
  • Update food safety logs as needed in conjunction with back of house team
  • Oversee, delegate and execute proper closing procedures for company and health department standards
  • Rotate or remix product to maintain fresh appearance
  • Help manager prepare monthly inventory and maintain ordering needs weekly
  • Communicate with management daily for needs and suggestions for process improvement
  • All other duties assigned
