The Food Service Supervisor role at Guest Services is a critical leadership position within the food and beverage operations. This full-time, hourly role, compensating $15.00 per hour, supports the unit Manager in all facets of unit operations, including managing food service areas, beverage services, equipment maintenance, and property upkeep. The primary goal is to support the achievement of financial objectives and company-wide initiatives while fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. The supervisor is tasked with ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of customer service and swiftly resolving any guest complaints in alignment with company policies. Additionally, the role involves active involvement in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, training, and developing hourly staff to ensure peak performance and continuous growth. The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the cleanliness and organization of dining areas, cashier and food stations, enforcing safety and sanitation standards, managing cash control, and upholding employee hygiene standards. Physical aspects of the job require frequent movement throughout the unit, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally, withstand temperature variations in work environments, and maintain active communication in a fast-paced setting. The position requires a detailed understanding of safety protocols, operational procedures, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork. The Food Service Supervisor will utilize a variety of equipment including typical office tools like computers and phones, as well as food service equipment such as stoves, fryers, and refrigeration units. This essential role contributes significantly to delivering an exceptional dining experience while supporting Guest Services' mission to provide top-tier hospitality services across its many venues.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in related management required
  • Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities
  • Ability to work well as a team leader
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Physical ability to stand for entire work day and move frequently within the unit
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs regularly, 30-35 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to withstand temperature extremes in freezer, refrigerator walk-in and grill areas
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Business Degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in related management required
  • Food Safety Certified a plus
  • Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people
  • Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities

Job Duties

  • Ensure complete guest satisfaction at all times
  • Handle guests’ complaints and solve them according to customer service standards
  • Monitor and supervise set up and maintenance of dining area, cashier stations, and/or food stations to ensure quality standards
  • Assist in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, disciplining, reviewing, and directing the unit’s staff at the direction of the Manager
  • Train hourly staff for peak performance and monitor staff’s development
  • Maintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of unit’s equipment, food production and handling, cooking, housekeeping, sanitation, dress, cash control, and employee hygiene
  • Notify Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues
