The Food Service Supervisor role at Guest Services is critical to supporting the operational success of various food service units under the company's management. This position assists the Manager in overseeing all aspects of unit operations and floor management, including the management of food, beverages, equipment, and property. Key responsibilities of the Food Service Supervisor include ensuring complete guest satisfaction, handling and resolving guest complaints in line with established customer service standards, and supervising the setup and maintenance of dining areas, cashier stations, and food stations to uphold quality. The Supervisor also contributes to human resource functions by assisting in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, disciplining, reviewing, and directing staff under the Manager's guidance. Training and monitoring staff performance for peak efficiency and development is a core part of this position.

Maintaining a safe and sanitary facility environment is another essential duty, involving standards enforcement around equipment upkeep, food production and handling, cooking techniques, housekeeping, sanitation, dress code, cash control, and employee hygiene. The Food Service Supervisor is expected to promptly report any unusual events, safety issues, or quality control concerns to management.

This role demands physical stamina and mental acuity due to the dynamic nature of food service operations. It involves frequent movement within the service unit, lifting and carrying weights up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and operating in areas with varying temperatures such as freezers and grills. Job Duties

  • Ensure complete guest satisfaction at all times
  • Handle guests’ complaints and solve them according to customer service standards
  • Monitor and supervise set up and maintenance of dining area, cashier stations, and/or food stations to ensure quality standards
  • Assist in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, disciplining, reviewing, and directing the unit’s staff at the direction of the Manager
  • Train hourly staff for peak performance and monitor staff’s development
  • Maintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of unit’s equipment, food production and handling, cooking, housekeeping, sanitation, dress, cash control, and employee hygiene
  • Notify Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues
