Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
- able to work full-time with shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM including rotating weekends
- willingness to work occasional night and weekend catered events
- completion of or willingness to complete a sanitation course
- ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- strong communication skills
- ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
- willingness to undergo background checks as required for correctional facility access
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and understand verbal instructions
- completion of a sanitation course either before or during first year
- knowledge in operating an efficient cost-effective program
- ability to perform basic arithmetic
- maintain emotional control under stress
- ability to resolve interpersonal situations
- strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
- direct daily activities
- maintain food production ensuring safety and quality
- ensure food items are stored safely and hazard-free
- maintain serving schedules and comply with menu specifications
- uphold sanitary department conditions following health and safety regulations
- maintain accurate inventory and prepare orders
- supervise and evaluate employees, promoting teamwork and growth
- maintain a safe working environment
- train and mentor food service workers
- complete equipment maintenance logs
- ensure food safety and temperature logs are completed with corrective actions
- perform preventative maintenance
- recommend equipment replacements
- multitask proficiently
- perform duties assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
- fill in for absent employees
- manage daily catering event preparation and delivery
- work occasional night and weekend catered events
- attend food service meetings
- maintain staff communications
- perform cashier duties as needed
- promote good public relations
