The Food Service Supervisor role at Aramark is a full-time position essential to maintaining exemplary food service operations within their diverse customer environments. This leadership role involves overseeing daily activities of the food service team and collaborating closely with a manager to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The supervisor is charged with creating and maintaining work schedules, preparing production packets including recipes and production sheets, and ensuring that food production aligns with health and safety policies as well as quality standards. A significant aspect of this role is food safety management, including proper storage, hygiene, and temperature control, while sustaining a sanitary environment compliant with relevant codes and regulations.

Moreover, the supervisor will be responsible for inventory management, equipment maintenance logs, and supervising staff performance through evaluation and mentoring. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle the diverse demands of food service operations such as catering events, cashier duties, and communication with office staff. Flexibility to fill in for absent employees and the willingness to work occasional nights and weekends for catering events are also key components of the role. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to work full-time hours including occasional nights and weekends
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
  • Knowledgeable in operating cost-effective food service programs
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • Maintain emotional control under stress
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies
  • Ensure safe, organized, and hazard-free food storage
  • Maintain serving schedules ensuring food is served per menu specifications
  • Maintain sanitary conditions following health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • Prepare orders to ensure accurate production
  • Supervise, evaluate, and counsel employees to promote growth and teamwork
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Train and mentor food service workers
  • Maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective action as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks
  • Recommend equipment replacement
  • Multi-task proficiently
  • Perform other duties as requested
