Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • ability to lift and move heavy items
  • valid driver’s license for district vehicle operation
  • ability to work Monday through Friday during school calendar days
  • ability to work occasional nights and weekends
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to follow health and safety regulations
  • reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • must complete a sanitation course before or during the first year
  • knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality standards
  • ensure safe and organized food storage
  • maintain serving schedules and adhere to menu specifications
  • uphold sanitary department conditions following health and safety regulations
  • maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • prepare orders as needed for accurate production
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • counsel and promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • keep logs on equipment maintenance
  • ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • perform preventative maintenance checks
  • recommend equipment replacement
  • multitask proficiently
  • fill in for absent employees
  • oversee daily catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
