- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- Successful completion of sanitation course within first year
- Competence in cost-effective food service program operation
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
- Direct daily activities
- Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies
- Ensure food items are stored safely and organized
- Maintain serving schedules and ensure food is served per menu specifications
- Maintain sanitary conditions following health and safety codes
- Maintain accurate weekly inventory
- Prepare orders to ensure accurate production
- Supervise and evaluate employees and promote growth and morale
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment
- Train and mentor food service workers
- Keep maintenance logs for department equipment
- Ensure food safety/temperature logs are completed with corrective action
- Perform preventative maintenance checklist
- Recommend replacement of equipment
- Perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director/Manager
- Fill in for absent employees
- Maintain knowledge of daily catering events and ensure timely delivery
- Work occasional night and weekend catered events
- Attend food service meetings
- Maintain communication with staff
