Established in 1927, HonorHealth has grown to become one of the state’s largest healthcare networks, serving diverse communities across the greater Phoenix area with an unwavering dedication to improving health and well-being. The organization prides itself on employing highly skilled professionals who display deep expertise and passion for what matters most – delivering quality care to patients and supporting the communities it serves. HonorHealth is deeply rooted in its mission to enhance quality of life through outstanding healthcare services, compassion, and ethical standards.
The role of Supervisor - Food Service at HonorHealth involves providing shift leadership within the Food & Nutrition Services department. This full-time position is primarily scheduled during the day shift, mostly from 5:30 am to 2 pm, with varied days and shifts to accommodate the dynamic needs of the facility. As a Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing daily kitchen operations, food production, storeroom management, and staff supervision during off hours and weekends. Your leadership will ensure that the department meets its operational goals while maintaining the highest possible standards of food quality, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
In this position, you will lead cross-functional teams, supervise patient meal assembly and delivery processes, and uphold room service and patient meal standards. You will monitor cafeteria services during evenings and off hours, ensuring adherence to proper cash handling and operational protocols. A key responsibility includes maintaining compliance with all health department regulations related to sanitation, food handling, and food storage to safeguard both patients and staff. The role demands a combination of excellent management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service within a healthcare food service environment.
The Supervisor - Food Service will also be responsible for planning and revising work schedules, training new and existing staff, conducting quality assurance and quality control audits, and monitoring budgets related to labor, expenses, and revenue. This leadership role requires the ability to investigate and resolve any issues promptly, promote teamwork, and implement continuous improvements in the kitchen and cafeteria operations. Your work will contribute directly to the overall patient experience and the smooth functioning of the Food & Nutrition Services department. Joining HonorHealth means becoming part of a supportive community that values innovation, excellence, and compassionate care. This position offers rewarding opportunities for professional growth and the chance to make a meaningful impact on healthcare food services in a respected and well-established organization.
