The Food Service Supervisor role is vital within SSA Group’s ecosystem, tasked with overseeing daily operations within designated food service zones or locations. Reporting directly to the Food Service Operations Manager, this supervisory position demands a proactive leader who can manage staff, inventory, and ensure service quality in a fast-paced environment. The supervisor is responsible for executing 452 Hospitality at every guest touchpoint, maintaining product standards, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations through effective training and coaching of team members. Additionally, the role involves direct engagement with guests to address feedback promptly and uphold a clean, safe, and organized workplace.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years quick service management or operations supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrates multitasking, attention to detail, analytical, planning, and leadership skills
  • Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic computer knowledge for office functions
  • Knowledge of food service safety, including serve-safe temperatures, FIFO product rotation, sanitation, and safe alcohol service

Job Duties

  • Deliver warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences for every guest and client by living out 452 Hospitality
  • Ensure location or zone is adequately stocked, prepped, and staffed for daily operation
  • Oversee operational duties including quick service, food service, safety and quality, availability, merchandising, and guest service standards
  • Support daily prep and item lists, delegating tasks to employees
  • Actively support operations by filling in gaps as needed to ensure smooth service
  • Assign associates to duties, coaching through projects, daily tasks, and guest interactions
  • Respond efficiently to guest feedback
  • Maintain general organizational upkeep of storage and back dock areas
  • Conduct daily check-ins ensuring communication of preshift meeting information
  • Limit and control waste through proper prep levels and daily tracking
  • Maintain consistency with product standards set by operations and culinary teams
  • Create and communicate plans for staffing, prep, and duties for the next day with direct reports
  • Implement proper merchandising of products
  • Monitor and control production of assigned products
  • Train new employees and issue performance reviews
  • Conduct coaching and manage breaks for employees
  • Inspect equipment and perform routine maintenance and cleaning
  • Remain knowledgeable and compliant with local, state, and federal laws
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Uphold company policies and procedures
  • Perform other tasks as necessary
  • Engage with IDEA and community efforts by promoting inclusivity and sustainability
