This job opportunity is for a full-time Food Service Supervisor role within Aramark's Food Services Team. The Food Service Supervisor will work closely with a manager to help coordinate and lead daily operational activities in the food service department. This leadership position requires overseeing staff, collaborating effectively with teammates, and stepping in where needed to maintain smooth operations. The role emphasizes mentorship and training, enabling supervisors to promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork. Supervisors will produce and maintain work schedules, direct daily activities, and ensure food production meets safety and quality standards according to Aramark policies and procedures.
The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and sanitary environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. This includes proper storage of food items, accurate inventory management, completing food safety and temperature logs, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment. Supervisors are also tasked with recommending equipment replacements when necessary to meet facility needs. They may be required to fill in for absent employees and work occasional night and weekend catering events, ensuring all events are prepared and delivered on time. In addition, they will maintain open lines of communication with staff and participate in regular food service meetings.
This role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, emotional control under stress, and a capacity to resolve interpersonal situations constructively. Candidates should be able to read, write, and understand verbal instructions and demonstrate proficiency in basic arithmetic. Completion of a sanitation course either before starting the job or during the first year is mandatory to ensure adherence to food safety standards. Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes)
- direct daily activities
- maintain food production that ensures the safety and quality of food according to policies, procedures, and department requirements
- ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment
- maintain all serving schedules
- ensure that all food items are served per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner following Aramark policies and procedures
- maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations
- maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
- may prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production for location
