The Food Service Supervisor role at Guest Services, Inc. is a vital position that supports the unit Manager in all facets of day-to-day operations and floor management. This role plays a key part in maintaining the highest standards of food, beverage, equipment, and property management to help achieve financial objectives and support company initiatives. The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for cultivating a team-oriented environment that champions exceptional customer service and ensures that all staff consistently deliver high performance. Key responsibilities include monitoring and supervising the setup and maintenance of dining areas, cashier stations, and food stations to uphold quality standards. The supervisor also plays an active role in staff management, including recruiting, scheduling, disciplining, and reviewing performance under the Manager's guidance. They train hourly staff to optimize performance during peak periods and closely monitor staff development. Moreover, the Food Service Supervisor is charged with maintaining a safe facility environment by enforcing standards for equipment upkeep, food production and handling, cooking procedures, sanitation, dress code, cash control, and employee hygiene. They are also expected to promptly report any unusual incidents or safety and quality control issues to the Manager. This role demands strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to excellence in guest satisfaction. Physical and mental requirements include the ability to stand for the entire workday, move frequently within the unit, lift and carry weights regularly, and withstand temperature extremes associated with food service activities. Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Business Degree preferred

  • food safety certified a plus

Job Duties

  • Ensure complete guest satisfaction at all times
  • handle guests’ complaints and solve them according to customer service standards
  • monitor and supervise set up and maintenance of dining area, cashier stations, and/or food stations to ensure quality standards
  • assist in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, disciplining, reviewing, and directing the unit’s staff at the direction of the Manager
  • train hourly staff for peak performance and monitor staff’s development
  • maintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of unit’s equipment, food production and handling, cooking, housekeeping, sanitation, dress, cash control, and employee hygiene
  • notify Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues
