This role involves direct participation in food preparation, service, and storage in two different kitchen locations, requiring someone who is adept at managing multiple tasks while maintaining full compliance with all health and safety regulations. The Food Services Supervisor will oversee the daily kitchen workflow and ensure that meals are served according to carefully approved menus and dietary needs that meet the nutritional requirements of children and adults. Working closely with kitchen staff and management, this supervisor ensures the smooth functioning of food services while fostering a cooperative team environment.\n\nThe Food Services Supervisor is responsible for preparing large-volume meals accurately and efficiently, following standardized recipes and cross-checking adherence to CACFP standards. This role includes maintaining thorough documentation such as daily menu worksheets, food temperature logs, and monitoring plate counts to ensure regulatory compliance. The supervisor is also tasked with inventory management and ordering supplies to support continuous kitchen operations, while ensuring all items are properly labeled and stored. Sanitation and cleanliness are key facets of the job, with the supervisor overseeing proper cleaning and sanitization of all kitchen equipment and areas. This comprehensive supervisory role requires excellent communication skills to coordinate with food service staff, program managers, and other supervisors, as well as participation in ongoing training and compliance certification.\n\nMoreover, the Food Services Supervisor models professionalism by adhering to agency policies and provides additional food service support for agency meetings and activities as needed. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- training in CACFP food preparation and nutrition preferred
- experience in CACFP and/or institutional food preparation, production, and service preferred
- knowledge of nutritional needs of children and adults

Job Duties
- Prepare, serve, and assist with serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks for all participants in accordance with CACFP guidelines
- ensure meals are prepared in accordance with approved menus and dietary requirements
- accurately follow recipes and prepare meals in large volumes as required
- complete daily CACFP menu worksheets, including monitoring plate counts, food usage, and meal service documentation for both kitchens
- refrigerate and properly store a sample plate for each meal served for 48 hours in both kitchens
- record daily food temperatures for milk coolers, refrigerators, and freezers
- conduct monthly inventories of pantry and refrigeration items in both kitchens
- order food and supplies in a timely and efficient manner to support uninterrupted meal service
- ensure all food items are properly labeled, dated, and stored according to health and safety standards
- properly wash, sanitize, and store dishes, pots, pans, and equipment used in food preparation and service on a daily basis
- maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including pantries, refrigerators, and paper supply rooms in both kitchens
- utilize safe and sanitary methods when handling food, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
- provide day-to-day supervision of kitchen staff across two kitchen locations
- communicate effectively with supervisors and program managers regarding kitchen operations, staffing needs, and compliance matters
- participate in required in-service trainings, meetings, and certifications as scheduled
- prepare and assist with food service for agency activities and meetings as required
- model professionalism and adherence to agency policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned
